Opening day puts a date on your hiring plan. If the gates open the Saturday before spring break, new hires need to finish training the week before. Count back from that week to pick the day your ads go live. A gift-shop associate and a camp counselor can start the same week and still need different training.
Put the real day in the ad: the morning rush at the gate, outdoor work, weekend shifts and late event closes. Applicants can then tell you where they fit.
Interview questions for seasonal attraction jobs
Pick the questions with each department lead:
- Season dates: training, the first shift and the last day of the season, plus any dates they already know they can’t work.
- Weekends and events: the real holiday, evening and weekend shifts, and which ones they can take.
- Guest care: a time they helped a frustrated visitor, and when they brought in a supervisor.
- Department experience: ticketing, a register, food prep or leading a visitor activity.
- Requirements: the credentials and training the job requires.
How HireBus runs seasonal hiring
Give HireBus the department roles, training dates, shift options and number of openings. Iris follows up with applicants and interviews them first. Each department lead reads the answers for their own openings and picks who to meet. Keep a bench with always-on hiring for the next season.

Jobs across the attraction
- Admissions / ticketing: ticketing systems, cash handling, and helping visitors when the entry line is busy.
- Guest services / membership desk: explaining memberships, refund questions, and when to bring in a manager.
- Retail associate / retail lead: the register, stocking, closing, and helping other associates on busy days.
- Food service associate / cook: the stations and equipment they have used, the credentials the job requires, and your food-service training.
- Education & program staff: leading activities, explaining a topic to kids and adults, and following your rules for working with children.
Questions attraction leaders ask
Can we hire the whole summer crew at once?
Yes, within your plan's limits. The pricing page lists 1 active role on Starter, up to 3 on Growth and up to 10 on Max, and each plan sets how many scored candidates you get a month. Give each job its own duties and schedule.
Can the Iris interview include our mission and guest experience?
Yes. Add a question about why they want to work at your attraction, and one about helping a guest. Department leads can build their own follow-up questions from the answers.
Can we keep a candidate bench between seasons?
Talk with your account team about keeping the campaign running between seasons. It uses ad budget and scored-candidate credits. Tell applicants when an opening is for a future season, and check that they are still available when you are ready to hire.
